You do need webOS 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5 and a steady internet connection to be able to use LG Channels.

Funimation

A video streaming service like Netflix, Funimation focuses more on animation movies, specifically Japanese anime.

Plex

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video offers thousands of movies, shows, and documentaries. It’s one of the best apps you can have installed on an LG smart TV. 

You do need to have a subscription to use Amazon Prime Video. You can also access premium channels, some included, like Freevee, and others you’ll have to pay for, like HBO Max or Paramount+.

How to Install Apps on LG Smart TV

Installing apps on any LG Smart TV is very easy; just keep in mind the amount of space you have available on your TV, or else the app may not download.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.
  2. With the directional buttons, scroll to LG Content Store.
  3. Click the search icon in the top right corner.

  5. Click on the App and select Install.

What to do if an App Keeps Crashing on an LG Smart TV?

Sometimes some glitches can cause an app to crash. This can be very annoying if you just want to watch a movie or play a game. 

Here are some quick troubleshooting steps you can take to fix an app that is crashing on an LG TV:
