With iOS 18, Apple has added a feature to schedule texts on iPhone. Here’s how to get started with it.
Step 1: Update to iOS 18 (If Needed)
- Go to Settings: Open Settings > General > Software Update.
- Check for Updates: Make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 18. If you’re on an older version, select Update Now. It’ll take about 10 minutes to complete.
Once you’re on iOS 18, you’re ready to start scheduling texts!
Step 2: Schedule a Text Message
- Compose a Message: Open Messages and type out your text (e.g., “Don’t forget to take out the trash”).
- Choose Send Later: Instead of hitting send, tap the + button and select Send Later.
- Set the Time: Choose the date and time you want the text to send—say, tomorrow at 8 a.m.
- Confirm: Hit Send, and your text is now scheduled!
Extra Tip: Scheduling Multiple Messages
Want to schedule more than one message in the same conversation? Just repeat the steps! You’ll see each scheduled message with its respective time, and you can edit if needed.
And that’s it! Now you can schedule texts effortlessly on your iPhone.
