Connecting Your Eufy camera To HomeKit Using Apple TV
This requires using HomeKit on Apple TV to control, and view your Eufy smart camera. Apple TV serves as a smart hub in this situation, and it applies to only select cameras – These include the EufyCam 2/2 pro, EufyCam 2C/2C Pro, and the Eufy indoor cam 2K/Pan and tilt 2K.
With that said, you can connect it to your HomeKit by using these steps:
- Switch on your Homebase 2 and connect it to your wireless router.
- Look for a “QR code” under the Homebase 2 to set it up.
- If it has a “HomeKit” logo, you can decide to add it directly through your Apple home App by clicking here. If it doesn’t have an Apple logo, you can decide to add the Homebase to the Eufy App, and the EufyCam 2/2C/2 pro/2C pro to your Homebase device.
- When that is done, on the Homebase “settings”, choose “HomeKit setup” to activate HomeKit.
- Enable the HomeKit feature, and then add your EufyCam to the Home App using the detailed instructions from Apple here.
- After that, the device would be synced with your Home App.
Note: For the indoor Cam series, you can add the device normally on your EufySecurity App, and then at the device settings, select “HomeKit Portal”. Enable this feature and add the device to your Home App using the instructions here. Your indoor smart camera would now be synced with your home app, and you can view it easily on your Smart TV.
Connecting Your Eufy Camera To Google Home Using Chromecast
If your smart TV uses Chromecast, or you have an external Chromecast, you can connect your Eufy camera to Google home viewing your smart camera on TV. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the “Google Home” App on your phone.
- Tap the “portrait icon” located at the top right of the screen.
- Go to “settings” and “add device”, then link device.
- Search for “EufySecurity”. Once the login page has been displayed, input your username and password.
- Input the Google pin and authorize this action.
- Go back to the “homepage” and select the device you want.
