If you need to update the Wi-Fi network on your Arlo camera, you’ll need to do it for each device individually. Follow these steps to switch your Arlo camera to a new Wi-Fi network.
Open the Arlo App
- Launch the Arlo app on your phone.
- Tap the Settings wheel for the camera you want to update.
Change the Network
- Look for the section labeled Connected To—this shows the current Wi-Fi network.
- Scroll down and tap Change Network (this option is slightly hidden at the bottom).
Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network
- Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as Arlo cameras do not support 5GHz networks.
- If Wi-Fi is turned off on your phone, the Arlo app will not detect available networks. Turn Wi-Fi back on and reconnect to your home network.
Enter Your Wi-Fi Credentials
- The app will autofill your current Wi-Fi network.
- Type in your Wi-Fi password and tap Continue.
Sync the Camera
- If required, locate the Sync button on your Arlo camera (placement varies by model).
- Press and hold the Sync button for two seconds until the camera’s light starts flashing blue.
- Use the Arlo app to scan the QR code displayed on your phone with the camera.
- Wait for the camera to emit a confirmation sound (ding, ding, ding).
Complete the Setup
- Tap Continue in the app to finalize the connection.
- The app will verify the connection and update the network.
- Tap Finish, and your Arlo camera is now connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
That’s it! Your Arlo camera should now be successfully updated to the new network. If this guide helped, check out the video above, like, and subscribe for more helpful tips!
