Your iPhone can do a whole lot these days, and even though the screens are getting bigger and bigger, they are still not quite as large as your LG television. So whether you want to show your family a funny meme, see your vacation photos a little better, play your favorite music, or even watch Tik Tok for hours on the big screen, you might want to know if you can mirror your iPhone to an LG TV.

The straightforward answer is yes, your iPhone has the ability to mirror onto your LG TV and there are a few ways to make this happen. The easiest way to connect is via a third-party app through your phone, however, you can also use Chromecast or even AirPlay.

Each of these options has a few stipulations and it can be a little confusing when trying to find out which option will work best for your phone and television. So let’s break it down! Keep reading to find out which recourse best suits your needs and then, of course, how to mirror your iPhone to your LG TV.

How to Use a Third-Party App to Link your iPhone to your LG TV

Your LG TV technically runs on an Android operating system, so in order to align it with your Apple iPhone, you will need an intermediary, aka a third-party connection.

The most popular mediator app for this attachment is TV Assist. It is easily downloadable onto your iPhone and it’s even free! Once you’ve successfully added the app, it will prompt you to connect to your television, and from there, you can allow it to access the photos, microphone, camera, and more on your iPhone. It is important that both devices are connected to the same wireless network to ensure a stable and strong connection.

That’s it! With TV Assist or any of the other many connection apps, your iPhone will conveniently mirror to your LG TV.

How to Use Chromecast to Mirror your iPhone to an LG TV

Using Chromecast can be another easy way to mirror your iPhone to your LG TV. Follow these instructions one step at a time to connect your devices.

  • Connect your LG TV to Chromecast.
  • Download Google Home Companion to your iPhone.
  • Ensure both devices are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Enter the app on your phone and pair it with your LG TV by following the setup instructions.

Easy enough right? LG wants to make sure you get the most out of your television, so if you’re having any trouble, check out their help page with detailed instructions for how to pair any of your smart products to your television.

Can I Use Airplay to Link my iPhone to my LG TV?

You can also use Airplay to connect your iPhone to your LG TV through Apple TV, however, it is only available if you have an iPhone 4 or newer.

Obviously, you will need Apple TV for this option to work. If you do, make sure to connect all devices to the same wireless network, after that you can access the Control Center on your phone and click Airplay. It will prompt you to choose the device you want to connect to, and your television should be easily visible as an icon.

If you are attempting to use Airplay 2, there are even more stipulations to be warry of. Although it will allow you to use older models of Apple products, they will not connect to any LG TVs manufactured before 2019. Airplay 2 offers a wider variety of options for pairing, so check out this LG help page for everything you need to know about connecting your Apple devices to your LG TV with Airplay 2.

It has never been easier to connect your multiple devices, you no longer have to be technologically savvy, have several different types of cables, or even have all your devices run by the same company or system.

If you have a variety of Apple products such as an iPhone, iPad, or even an iPod Touch, you can easily connect them to your Andriod devices like your LG TV with only a third-party app or additional program. As we have learned, most of these options are free and exceedingly easy to use, so there really is nothing stopping you from mirroring your iPhone to your LG TV.
