If your AirPods Pro case stops charging, don’t worry—there are several things you can check to resolve the issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and fix the problem:
Check the Charger
- Test the charger with another device to ensure it’s working.
- If it doesn’t work, try a different charger or cable. Over time, chargers can wear out, so replacing it might solve the issue.
Inspect and Clean the Charging Port
- Check the case’s charging port for lint, dust, or grime, which can block proper charging.
- Clean the port gently using a Q-tip and a small amount of rubbing alcohol.
- Inspect the charger prongs for any buildup and clean them as well.
Reset Your AirPods Pro
- Open the lid of the AirPods case.
- Locate the small button on the back of the case.
- Press and hold the button until the status light flashes amber and then white.
- Once reset, reconnect your AirPods to your phone. This process automatically updates them to the latest firmware.
Check for Physical Damage
- Inspect the case and AirPods for visible damage, such as cracks or signs of impact.
- If they’ve been dropped frequently, this could be the reason they aren’t charging.
Test for Connection Issues
- Sometimes, simply wiggling the AirPods or charger in the case can help re-establish a connection.
- Check if the status light turns red while charging and green when fully charged.
Contact Apple Support
- If none of these steps work, visit Apple Support for assistance.
- If your AirPods are under warranty, Apple may replace or repair them for you.
