While it may seem cumbersome and difficult to try and identify the model of your ADT Security System, it can be done quickly. Fifteen different types of ADT keypads can seem relatively similar.
Even though the keypads seem relatively similar, some key differences will help guide you to which model you have installed in your home. The badging, icons, button layout, display, and general layout of the keypad are unique to each, making identifying fairly straightforward.
How to Identify Which ADT Keypad Model You Have
You’ll need to know what ADT Keypad you have for various reasons, such as needing help from customer service or if you’re thinking of getting an upgrade. So, how do you know which ADT Keypad model you have?
There are two ways you can identify your ADT keypad. You can find this information online on your ADT account or on the physical keypad based on its features.
If going online, once logged in, you can refer to the System Information section on the main overview page. If you want to try and identify your system visually, continue with the list below.
Identify the logo location, if any
Identify if there is a flip-down door or not
Identify if there is a visible speaker
Determine the number of auxiliary buttons next to the numeric keypad
Determine any other distinguishing features
Listed below will be the 15 different models of ADT keypads. The layout of the keypads and construction style will help identify which model you have. If you check off each of the features in the list of any given model, you should be able to identify your ADT keypad model easily.
You don’t want to misidentify your ADT Security System. Knowing which keypad you have before troubleshooting anything wrong, such as the keypad beeping, is important. The information has been made into tables to make parsing the individual models quick and easy.
