If your Wemo Smart Plug is giving you trouble, a reset might help resolve the issue. Here’s how to reset both the older WSP080 and the newer WSP100 models.

Method 1: Reset the WSP080

  1. Unplug the Smart Plug:
    • Remove the plug from the power outlet.
  2. Press and Hold the Power Button:
    • While unplugged, press and hold the power button.
  3. Reconnect to Power:
    • Plug the smart plug back into the outlet while continuing to hold the button.
  4. Wait for the Light to Blink:
    • Once the light starts blinking, the device is in setup mode and has been reset.

Method 2: Reset the WSP100

  1. Press and Hold the Button:
    • With the device plugged in, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for the Light:
    • The light will blink white, indicating that the device is in setup mode.

Method 3: Reset Using the Wemo App

  1. Open the Wemo App:
    • Launch the app and go to the Devices tab.
  2. Select the Device:
    • Tap the Edit option and choose the smart plug you want to reset.
  3. Reset the Device:
    • Select Factory Restore or another reset option.
    • Confirm by tapping Yes.
    • The device will reset and return to factory settings.
