- Open the Voice Memos App:
- Locate and open the Voice Memos app, which comes pre-installed on your iPhone.
- Start Recording:
- Tap the red record button at the bottom of the screen to begin recording.
- You’ll see audio waves appear as it captures your voice or sound.
- Stop and Save:
- Tap the red stop button when you’re done.
- The recording will be saved automatically with a default name like “New Recording.”
- Rename the Recording:
- Tap the recording name, type in your desired name, and hit Done to save it.
Other Ways to Access Voice Memos
- Use Siri:
- Activate Siri by saying, “Hey Siri, open Voice Memos.”
- Siri will pull up the app directly, ready for you to start recording.
- Use Spotlight Search:
- Swipe down from the top of your home screen to open Spotlight Search.
