If you’re trying to clean up your phone, I’ll show you three simple ways to delete apps permanently.
Method 1: From the Home Screen
- Find the app: Choose the app you want to delete.
- Press and hold: Hold down on the app icon until a menu pops up.
- Select Delete App: Tap Remove App, then select Delete App (not Remove from Home Screen—that just hides it).
- Confirm deletion: Hit confirm, and the app and its data will be gone.
Method 2: From the App Library
- Open the App Library: Swipe all the way to the right on your home screens until you see the App Library.
- Search for the app: Use the search bar or scroll to find the app you want to delete.
- Press and hold the icon: Hold down on the app’s icon (not the text).
- Delete the app: Tap Delete App in the menu, then confirm.
Method 3: From iPhone Settings
- Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to General: Scroll down and select General, then tap iPhone Storage.
- Find the app: Scroll through the list of apps to locate the one you want to delete.
- Delete the app: You’ve got two options here:
- Swipe left on the app and tap Delete.
- Tap the app, select Delete App, and confirm.
