- Access Settings: Tap the settings wheel at the top of the menu.
- Go to the Account Center: Select See More in Account Center.
- Find Password & Security: Scroll down to Account Settings and tap Password and Security.
- Select Your Account: Choose the Facebook account you want to update. (You can also update Instagram passwords here if needed.)
- Update Your Password:
- Enter your current password.
- Type in your new password and confirm it.
- Save Changes: Once everything is correct, hit Change Password to update.
And that’s it! You’ve changed your password on mobile.
On Desktop

- Open Settings: Click your account icon in the upper right-hand corner and select Settings & Privacy, then choose Settings.
- Go to the Account Center: Scroll down and click See More in Account Center.

- Choose Your Account: Select the account you want to update (Facebook or Instagram).

- Enter your current password.
- Input your new password twice to confirm.
- Log Out Option: You’ll have the option to log out of other devices for security if needed.
- Save Changes: Click Change Password to complete the process.
Tips:
- If you’re like me and tend to forget passwords, make sure to save your new one somewhere safe.
- You can also enable two-factor authentication for extra security while you’re in the Password & Security settings.
