Ring introduces new battery doorbell model with “head to toe” field of view

The newest model from Ring offers substantial upgrades for those who don’t want the mess of running wires for installation.
Dubbed the Battery Doorbell Plus, it offers both the wire-free installation of previous battery-powered models like the Video Doorbell 4, as well as a 150 degree by 150 degree field of view previously only available on wired models.
Combined with the camera’s enhanced 1536P resolution, the company says the new device promises a “head to toe” view of your door with easy installation. The device also features power-saving modes, an easily swapped battery pack, and an optional solar panel to increase time between charges.
The Battery Doorbell Plus is now available for pre-order, and will ship to customers starting on April 5th.
