Your iPhone apps are constantly tracking your location as you move throughout the day. You can stop this tracking and regain your privacy by adjusting your settings.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone [0:09].
  2. Scroll down and select Privacy & Security [0:13].
  3. Tap on Location Services [0:20].
  4. Toggle off the main Location Services switch at the top to disable tracking for every app on your device [0:36].
  5. If you want to keep some apps active, toggle the main switch back on and select individual apps to manually set their permissions to NeverAsk Next Time, or While Using the App.

Ninja Tip: To further protect your privacy, scroll to the bottom of the Location Services menu, tap System Services, and disable options like Significant Locations or iPhone Analytics that track your frequent movements for Apple’s internal use.

If you want to clear all your privacy data and start fresh, you can reset your settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.
