How to Stop Apps from Tracking You on iPhone

Apps constantly ask for permission to track your activity across other websites and services. You can stop these prompts and prevent future tracking with a quick change in your privacy settings.
- Open your iPhone Settings app. [0:21]
- Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security. [0:29]
- Tap on the Tracking menu option. [0:34]
- Toggle off Allow Apps to Request to Track to disable all future tracking prompts. [0:41]
- Review the list of apps you have already permitted to track you and toggle them off individually if you want to revoke their access.
Ninja Tip: Visit Settings > Privacy & Security > App Privacy Report to see exactly how often your apps are accessing sensitive data like your location, camera, and microphone in the background.
If you need to reset all your privacy and location settings to their original state, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.
