Your Roku device allows unrestricted access to purchases and apps. You can secure your account by enabling parental controls and a required PIN.

  1. Go to roku.com on a computer and log into your account [0:38].
  2. Select “My account” from the upper right-hand side of the page [0:48].
  3. Locate the “PIN parental controls” section to set up your four-digit PIN [0:54].
  4. Select your preferences for requiring a PIN to subscribe, make purchases, or add new apps [1:08].
  5. Configure specific viewing restrictions for the Roku Channel and other affiliated services under the parental controls menu [1:27].
  6. Click the save button at the bottom of the page to apply your new settings.

Ninja Tip: Remember that these settings only apply to the Roku interface itself, so you must log into individual apps like Netflix or Disney+ separately to set up their internal content restrictions.

If you still encounter issues, you can perform a factory reset by navigating to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
