Your YouTube homepage shows videos that do not match your interests. You can reset your feed by following these steps.

  1. Use separate YouTube accounts for different users, like your kids or guests, to prevent their watch history from mixing with yours. [0:30]
  2. Open your YouTube settings and go to your watch and search history. [0:59]
  3. Clear both your watch history and your search history to remove the data the algorithm currently uses to make suggestions. [1:10]
  4. Search for the specific topics or creators you want to watch and view those videos from start to finish to retrain your feed.
  5. Avoid watching YouTube Shorts unless they align with the content you want, as they can quickly alter your recommendations.

Ninja Tip: You can also manually remove specific videos from your history or click the three-dot menu next to a recommended video and select “Not interested” to fine-tune your feed without wiping everything.

For a full account reset, go to Settings > Channel > Advanced settings > Delete YouTube content.
