Facebook does not provide a direct button to share another user’s story to your own profile. You can repost these stories by using the native sharing tools available within the app.

  1. Locate the story you want to repost and tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen [0:19].
  2. Select the Your story option from the sharing menu that appears [0:37].
  3. Customize your story by pinching the screen to resize the image or move it around to your preference [0:42].
  4. Add any desired text or mute the sound if you prefer to keep your post silent [0:52].
  5. Tap the share button to finish posting the story to your own account.

Ninja Tip: Remember that you can only repost a story if the original poster has their privacy settings configured to allow sharing; if you do not see the share icon, the user has likely disabled this feature.

For persistent issues with Facebook features, you can clear your cache by navigating to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Media > Clear.
