Your Ring device is offline and will not connect to your Wi-Fi network. You can fix this connection issue by following these steps.
- Open the Ring app, select your device, and check the signal strength under Device Health [0:21]. If the RSSI number is high, consider installing a Ring Chime Pro or another signal extender to boost your coverage [0:41].
- Check your device’s battery or voltage levels within the Device Health menu to ensure it has enough power to function [1:15].
- Restart your home router to clear out any network congestion or IP conflicts that might be kicking your device off the network [1:51].
- Perform a reset on your camera if the network restart does not resolve the connection issue [1:59].
- Check that any physical switches or breakers controlling power to your wired Ring devices are turned on.
Ninja Tip: Check if your router is broadcasting a 5GHz signal and move your Ring device to a dedicated 2.4GHz network, as Ring devices often struggle with the shorter range of 5GHz frequencies.
If the device remains offline, perform a factory reset by holding the setup button on the device for 20 seconds.
