Your Roku device keeps logging you out of your streaming apps. You can fix this issue by following these troubleshooting steps.
- Clear your device cache by pressing the Home button five times, then pressing Up, Rewind twice, and Fast Forward twice [0:44]. Your Roku will restart automatically.
- Check your streaming service account on a computer to ensure you haven’t hit the maximum number of connected devices [1:37].
- Highlight the app giving you trouble, press the Star button, and choose to remove it [2:16]. Once it is uninstalled, search for the app again in the store and add it back to your device to clear any corrupted files.
- Go to Settings > System > About to verify that you are signed into the correct Roku account [3:24].
- Navigate to Settings > System > System update and select Check now to ensure your device is running the latest software version.
Ninja Tip: If you use a VPN on your home router, try disabling it to see if that prevents the apps from flagging your connection as suspicious and forcing a logout.
If the issue persists, perform a full factory reset by going to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
