Your Roku device is caught in a continuous reboot cycle. You can resolve this issue by following these troubleshooting steps.
- Check your power supply to ensure you are using the official Roku adapter and cable, as the device requires 5 volts and 1 amp to function properly [0:18].
- Navigate to Settings > System > Software Update to verify that no pending updates are partially downloaded or stuck, which can trigger system instability [1:10].
- Perform a system restart by unplugging the device for 60 seconds, or by selecting the system restart option within the settings menu [2:24].
- If the device continues to cycle, initiate a factory reset by navigating to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
Ninja Tip: Roku devices are sensitive to heat, so ensure your unit is placed in an open area with plenty of airflow and not tucked away behind the TV or inside a closed cabinet. If the device feels hot to the touch, unplugging it for ten minutes to cool down before restarting can often resolve persistent power-cycling issues.
To perform a complete wipe of your data and settings, navigate to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
