Your Levoit humidifier is currently failing to mist properly or run at all. You can fix these performance issues with a few simple maintenance steps.
- Clean the base and all removable components thoroughly to remove any buildup or debris [0:31]. Use a toothbrush or a soft brush to gently scrub away any residue that has collected inside the base or the bottom of the tank.
- Rinse the cleaned parts with warm water, being careful to keep the water away from the outside of the base to avoid damaging the electronics [1:05].
- Unplug the power cord and verify the outlet is actually supplying power to the unit [1:39].
- Check the app to ensure the Wi-Fi network and password are correct if you are using a smart model [2:01]. Keep the device relatively close to your router to avoid spotty connectivity.
- Fill the tank with enough water to ensure the system can properly feed the mister [2:14].
Ninja Tip: If you notice persistent mineral buildup, pour enough distilled white vinegar into the base to cover the bottom and let it soak for several hours before scrubbing and rinsing it clean. This descaling process is more effective at breaking down hard-water deposits than simple water rinsing alone.
If the device still fails to operate, perform a factory reset by following the specific button combination listed in your model’s user manual.
