How to Find or Reset Your Apple ID Password

You are locked out of your Apple ID because you forgot your password. You can recover or reset your credentials by following the steps below.
- Open the Passwords app on your iPhone to search for your saved login details. [0:33]
- Search for “Apple” in the search bar to locate your stored iCloud or Apple account credentials. [0:59]
- Select your account to view the stored password and tap the obscured text if you need to reveal it. [1:09]
- Check your saved passwords in Google Password Manager by opening your browser and searching for the service. [1:35]
- Locate your apple.com entry in the list and verify your identity to view the saved password. [1:56]
- To reset your password, open your iPhone settings and tap your name at the top of the menu. [2:37]
- Navigate to Sign-In & Security and select Change Password. [2:43]
- Enter your current iPhone passcode, type in your new password, and follow the prompts to save the changes.
- Alternatively, visit iforgot.apple.com in any web browser and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your account access.
Ninja Tip: If you frequently lose track of your passwords, use the built-in “Set Up Recovery Contact” feature under Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security, which allows a trusted friend or family member to help you regain access to your account.
If you still cannot access your account, you can initiate an account recovery request by visiting iforgot.apple.com and selecting the option to start the recovery process.
