How to Edit or Remove Objects from Photos on iPhone

Apple now allows you to edit or remove objects directly from photos on your iPhone, a feature previously only possible with third-party tools. Here’s how to use this feature:
Requirements:
- An iPhone 15 or 16.
- iOS version 18.1 or later with Apple Intelligence enabled.
Steps to Edit or Remove Objects:
- Ensure Your Software is Up to Date
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update to confirm you’re running the latest version of iOS.
- Open the Photo
- Select the photo you want to edit in the Photos app.
- Access the Cleanup Tool
- Tap the settings or filter icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the Cleanup option.
- Remove Unwanted Objects
- Circle or color over the objects you want to remove.
- The feature will automatically erase them.
- Use the undo arrows at the top if something doesn’t look right.
- Save the Changes
- Tap Done to save your edited photo.
Reverting to the Original Photo:
If you want to undo all edits:
- Go to the same settings menu.
- Select Revert to Original to restore the photo to its unedited state.
