Bird’s Eye View appears on your Ring camera timeline and interferes with your motion alerts. You can disable this feature through your camera’s settings.
- Open your Ring app and select the specific camera you want to adjust. Go to the main settings for that device [0:32].
- Navigate to Device Settings, select Video Settings, and toggle off Bird’s Eye View to remove it from your timeline [0:37].
- Return to the main menu for your camera and select Motion Settings to disable the Bird’s Eye Zones feature [0:56].
- Tap Bird’s Eye Zones and switch the setting to off to completely deactivate the feature.
Ninja Tip: If your camera is still showing inaccurate location data after disabling these settings, recalibrate the device position by re-running the “Setup Camera” process in the Ring app to ensure the map view is pinned correctly to your property layout.
If the issue persists, you can perform a device reset by pressing and releasing the setup button on the camera for 20 seconds, then reconnecting via Devices > Select Camera > Device Health > Reconnect to Wi-Fi.
