How to Delete Old Tweets and Reposts on X (Twitter)

Your X profile contains old posts and reposts that you want to remove. You can delete these items by following a few simple steps in your account settings.

1. If you want to keep a record of your history before deleting anything, go to your profile, open the side menu, and select Settings and privacy > Your account > Download an archive of your data [0:24]. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity and download the file.
2. To remove a specific tweet, navigate to your profile and scroll until you find the post you want to delete [0:52]. Tap the three vertical dots on the post and select the option to delete it [0:58].
3. To remove a repost, find the post on your profile and tap the repost icon directly [1:14]. Select the option to undo the repost to remove it from your feed.
