Your Mac is not recognizing your wireless Apple keyboard. You can fix this by following the steps below.

  1. Turn on your keyboard by flipping the switch on the upper right side until you see the green color indicator [0:20].
  2. Open the Bluetooth settings on your Mac to see if the computer automatically detects and pairs with the keyboard [0:30].
  3. If your computer does not detect the device, connect the keyboard directly to your Mac using a charging cable [0:48].
  4. Once the device shows as connected in your Bluetooth settings, you can unplug the cable and use the keyboard wirelessly.

Ninja Tip: If your keyboard still won’t connect, try toggling your Mac’s Bluetooth off and back on again in the system settings to refresh the search for nearby devices.

If the keyboard remains unresponsive, navigate to System Settings > Bluetooth and forget the device before attempting to pair it again as a new unit.
