Your Blink doorbell only plays the default sound inside your home when someone presses the button. You can customize this audio alert using your Alexa-enabled devices.
- Open your Alexa app and navigate to the More section to select Skills and Games, where you will search for and enable the Blink skill to link your account [1:53].
- Find your Blink doorbell device within the Alexa app and open its settings page [2:36].
- Select the doorbell sound option and choose your preferred notification from the available list [3:01].
- If the new sound does not register immediately, tap the doorbell sound menu once more to ensure your selection is saved and active.
Ninja Tip: You can also use an Echo device to create an Alexa Routine that triggers custom sounds or announces specific people when the doorbell detects motion, providing more control than the basic chime settings. This allows you to set up unique audio alerts for different times of the day or specific visitor types.
To restore factory settings, navigate to Device Settings > General Settings > Reset Device.
