Your Ring doorbell or camera is currently offline because it is disconnected from your network. You can reconnect the device to a new Wi-Fi source by following these steps.
- Open the Ring app on your phone and select the camera or doorbell you need to update [0:18].
- Tap on Device Health to access your network settings [0:40].
- Scroll down to the Network section and select Change Wi-Fi Network to begin the reconnection process [0:46].
- Follow the on-screen prompts to put your device into setup mode so the light starts flashing blue [1:05].
- Confirm the light is flashing and join the temporary network the app creates to finish the setup [1:17].
- Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list of available options and wait for the camera to connect to the internet.
Ninja Tip: Before starting, ensure your phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz network you want your Ring device to use, as Ring hardware typically does not support 5GHz networks.
If the device still fails to connect, you can perform a factory reset by holding the setup button for 20 seconds under Device Settings > General Settings > Reset.
