How to Change the Input or Source on Your LG TV

Your LG TV is stuck on the wrong input. You can change the source manually even if you have lost your remote.
- Press the source button on your remote to view the list of available connections [0:13].
- Alternatively, select the home dashboard on your screen to manually pick a different device like a game console or streaming box [0:35].
- Download the LG ThinQ app on your smartphone if your physical remote is missing, ensuring your phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network [1:02].
- Locate the physical button on your TV set, press it to open the menu, then long-press to select the inputs option [1:37].
- Tap the button repeatedly to cycle through the different sources until you reach the one you need.
Ninja Tip: If your TV isn’t appearing in the LG ThinQ app, check that your router isn’t isolating devices on your network; disabling “AP Isolation” or “Client Isolation” in your router settings often resolves this communication issue.
For a complete system refresh, you can perform a factory reset by navigating to All Settings > General > System > Reset to Initial Settings.
