Getting overwhelmed by spam calls? Here’s a quick way to block them (or any unwanted caller) directly from your iPhone.
Blocking Calls from Your Call Log
- Go to Recent Calls: Open your Phone app and find the spam call in your recent call log.
- Tap the Info Button: Next to the number, tap the small info button (i).
- Select Block Caller: Scroll down and choose Block this Caller. Hit Block Contact to confirm.
That’s it! Now, if you accidentally blocked someone, you can follow these same steps to Unblock them.
Blocking Spam from Messages
- Open the Message: Go to the text you want to block.
- Report as Junk: You can Report as Junk to notify your carrier and Apple (this will delete the message).
- Note: Reporting as junk won’t block the number from messaging you again.
- Block the Number: To fully block them, tap on the contact number, go to the info section, and choose Block this Caller.
Extra Tip: Use Spam-Blocking Apps
If spam calls keep coming, consider using third-party apps like Hiya or RoboKiller to help filter out spam.
And there you go—no more spam calls or texts cluttering up your iPhone.
