How to Add a New User to Your Arlo Account

Your Arlo system is currently limited to only your own access. You can grant camera permissions to family members or friends by following these steps.

  1. Open the Arlo app on your phone and tap the Account button in the top-left corner [0:20].
  2. Select the People option from the menu [0:28].
  3. Tap the plus icon to begin adding a new user [0:34].
  4. Enter the details for your friend or family member, choose which devices they can see, and toggle on Allow Access Rights [0:39].
  5. The person will receive an email invitation that they must accept to create their own account and view your cameras.

Ninja Tip: If your invited guest does not receive the email, have them check their Spam or Junk folder for a message from Arlo support.

If you encounter persistent permission errors, perform a full reset by going to Settings > My Devices > [Camera Name] > Remove Device.
