Your Nintendo Switch makes it easy to capture moments from your gameplay and transfer them to your phone. Here’s a step-by-step guide to take and share your images or videos.

Capturing Screenshots and Videos

  1. Take a Screenshot:
    • Press the Capture Button (camera icon) on your left Joy-Con once to take a screenshot.
    • A notification will confirm the screenshot was saved.
  2. Record a Short Video:
    • Press and hold the Capture Button.
    • The Switch records up to 30 seconds of gameplay, depending on the game.
  3. View Your Captures:
    • Go back to the Home Screen.
    • Navigate to the Album (folder icon) and open it.
    • Inside, you’ll see all your saved screenshots and videos.

Transferring Captures to Your Smartphone

  1. Select Media for Transfer:
    • In the Album, highlight the media you want to transfer.
    • Press A to open the Sharing and Editing menu.
  2. Choose “Send to Smartphone”:
    • Select Send to Smartphone from the options.
    • Confirm the disconnection from the internet for local communication.
  3. Scan the QR Code:
    • Use your smartphone’s camera to scan the first QR code displayed on the Switch.
    • Join the temporary local network.
    • Then, scan the second QR code to access the media.
  4. Download the Media:
    • On your phone, tap the download link that appears.
    • Save the image or video to your gallery.

Additional Notes for iPhone Users

  • After downloading, go to your Downloads folder.
  • Tap the media, hit the Share button, and select Save Image or Save Video.
  • The media will now appear in your photo gallery.
