A demonstration video posted by smart watch maker Amazfit shows the company is working on integrating ChatGPT functionality into their GTR 4 smart watch.

The 29 second demo video, which was posted on Amazfit’s LinkedIn page, shows the device being asked verbal questions about how to improve running performance, sleep, and general fitness, and providing an answer from ChatGPT.

It’s currently unclear how extensive any future integration might be–for instance, whether ChatGPT would be able to tell you context-sensitive information based on its heartrate and motion sensors–however it does mark the first example of a manufacturer integrating ChatGPT directly into a wearable device.

Also unclear is when users can expect to see this integration pay off, and whether it will be available as an upgrade for existing users or as a new feature in future devices. The only information currently available is a caption on the video noting that “Function availability depends on your location and watch model.”

The Amazfit GTR 4 is currently available for a retail price of $199, and features a 1.43 inch AMOLED display, heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and 14 day battery life.
