Luckily, there are several solutions you can try to fix the issue in just a few minutes.

In this article, we are going to go through how to figure out why your Hisense TV is blinking red and, more importantly, the 5 solutions you can try to fix it, so you can get back to enjoying your favorite programming in no time at all!

Why Does My Hisense TV Keep Blinking Red?

If your Hisense TV keeps blinking red, don’t worry, no matter why this is happening, it’s fairly likely that you’ll be able to fix the problem yourself within the next few minutes.

There are essentially three reasons why your Hisense could be blinking red:

  • The TV is in standby mode.
  • The LED panel is broken.
  • The power board is malfunctioning.
  • The TV is broken.

Most often, when the red light won’t stop blinking on a Hisense TV, it is coupled with the fact that the TV won’t turn on; however, sometimes, it’s simply a problem with the LED light itself.

The truth is that it’s almost impossible to find out what the problem is with your Hisense TV without trying the various solutions that fix the problem. Luckily for you, we have them right here so you can get started!

Solutions To Stop Your Hisense TV From Blinking Red

In order to stop your Hisense TV from blinking red and get your TV turned back on so you can keep enjoying your entertainment, you should try each of these solutions.

To make your life a little easier, we have put the 5 solutions in order from easiest to most challenging in the hopes that you will be able to fix the problem with the first and simplest solution!

  • Turn the TV off and on.
  • Reset the TV.
  • Check the Power Board.
  • Check the LED Panel.
  • Call Hisense Customer Service.

Alright, now it’s time to step through these instructions so you can get that annoying red light to stop blinking!

Turn the TV Off & On

The classic solution that works on almost every technological device: turning it off and back on!

Although it may seem silly, this tactic can solve your problem in just a few seconds. Whether the TV is stuck on standby or simply needs a reboot, unplugging it from the wall for a few minutes before plugging it back in may turn off that blinking red light!

Reset the TV

Resetting the TV is a little different from restarting it. In this case, you will need to locate the small reset button (usually labeled Reset) on the back of your Hisense TV and hold it down for at least 30 seconds.

Because the button is so small, you will want to use the end of a paperclip or something similarly sized to actually hold the button down.

It’s important to note that while this solution may solve your problem of the blinking light, it will also reset your TV to factory settings, which can be pretty annoying. You will have to re-download and sign into your apps and set your preferences all over again.

Check the Power Board

As annoying as resetting your Hisense TV might be, the next solution is even more frustrating as you have to completely take your television apart.

Luckily, all you need is a little screw driver to remove the back panel, from there, you can easily view the power board inside the TV.

If you notice any burnt areas or disconnected wires, then you have found your culprit! This can occur due to power surges or even to an older TV. In this case, you may be able to reconnect the wires or do a little damage control yourself if you know a bit about power boards.

If you don’t, it’s probably time to call Hisense to find out if your TV is still under warranty and what they can do to help!

Check the LED Panel

If the red light keeps blinking on your Hisense TV but it will still turn on, it’s likely a problem with the LED panel.

In order to get that red light to turn off, we have another solution for which you will need your toolbox. With a small screwdriver, you can remove the LED panel and replace it with a new one you ordered.

Again, this solution isn’t for everyone as not everyone knows how to replace a panel, but if you do, it’s a pretty easy option!

Call the Hisense Customer Service

If none of these solutions worked, or you simply don’t know how to fix a power board or an LED panel, it’s time to call customer service at Hisense.

They will be able to tell you if your TV is still under warranty so you can find out if you can get the TV repaired or if you’re entitled to a replacement.

The Bottom Line

The reason your Hisense TV keeps blinking red is most likely due to the fact that the TV is stuck in standby mode, the power supply isn’t functioning properly, or the power board or LED panel are malfunctioning.

However, hopefully, you now have the information you need to fix the problem so you can get back to enjoying your Hisense TV as soon as possible!
