Everyone knows that the technology market moves at a lightning-fast pace. After all, it seems like new technology is being invented every second. Considering this, it’s no wonder that Amazon, which is one of the largest online commerce brands has many different technology products to choose from. Amazon’s two top-selling Firestick products are the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K.

The differences between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K are:

  • The Firestick 4K remote has more buttons
  • The Firestick 4K has 4K streaming capabilities
  • You’re able to control your TV from your Firestick 4K remote

As you can see, both the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K are great products to have. However, there are a few differences between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K that you should take note of. Here are the differences between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K to help you make the right choice for you.

Difference In Appearance

First off, the appearances of the Firestick Lite remote and the Firestick 4K remote are slightly different. This is because the Firestick 4K has more options and thus more buttons.

Parts On A Firestick

A firestick has two parts. The first part of a Firestick is the stick. The stick of a Firestick is the part that plugs into the TV monitor. The stick of the Firestick plugs into the HDMI port of a TV. In terms of differences between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K, the sticks of these two Firesticks are virtually the same.

The Actual Sticks

The sticks of the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K look the same. Both the stick of the Firestick Lite and the stick of the Firestick 4K look like a small, black, rectangular, plastic box with a small, silver, metal plug on one end of it.

Firestick Remotes

When considering the differences in appearance between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K, you need to look at the remote of the Firestick Lite and the remote of the Firestick 4K.

The Remote The Firestick 4K

The Firestick 4K has more options and thus more buttons. On the Firestick 4K remote, you will be able to control your TV. As a result, on the Firestick 4K remote you will find additional buttons. These buttons include a volume control button, a mute button, and a grid screen view button.

What Buttons Does The Firestick 4K Have That The Firestick Lite Doesn’t Have?

The remotes on the two devices are distinctly different. The major differences are:

  • The volume button: The volume control button on the Firestick 4K remote looks like a long, vertical oval with a positive sign on the top of it and a negative sign on the bottom of it. This button allows you to raise or lower the volume on your TV.
  • The mute button: The mute button on your Firestick 4K remote looks like a small circle with a megaphone on it and an x on it. This button allows you to mute the volume on your TV.
  • The grid screen view button: The grid screen view button on your Firestick 4K remote looks like a small circle with a house on it. This button allows you to see the apps that you have installed on your TV through your Firestick 4K all at once.

Though it may not feel like the biggest thing in the world, these small differences really can shape your viewing experience.

Difference In Features

As well, the Firestick 4K has more features than the Firestick Lite. On both the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K, you can do the same basic functions. However, on the Firestick 4K, you have more features such as 4K streaming capabilities and being able to control your TV from your Firestick 4K remote.

4K Definition

The first feature that you have on a Firestick 4K but not on a Firestick Lite is the ability to watch TV shows and movies on your TV in 4K definition. This is because the Firestick 4K supports 4K Ultra HD, as is the name, while the light does not

TV Controllability

The second feature that you have on a Firestick 4K but not on a Firestick Lite is the ability to control your TV from your Firestick 4K remote. This is because Firestick 4K has added buttons on the remote for this task.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, both the Firestick Lit and the Firestick 4K are amazing and useful pieces of technology to own and use with your TV. However, there are a few differences between the Firestick Lite and the Firestick 4K.

As the Firestick 4K is an updated Firestick model, the remote has additional buttons and you have more features such as the ability to control your TV from your Firestick 4K remote and the ability to watch TV shows and movies on your TV in 4K definition.
