Kocowa is a Korean streaming channel that offers thousands of K-dramas, game shows, and movies to enjoy. But, if you are just getting into K-Drama, you may be looking to watch Kocowa for the first time on the Roku; here is how:

To watch Kocowa on Roku, first, go online and create a Kocowa account. Download the app onto Roku from the Roku store. Launch the app, sign in and start streaming your favorite shows.

If you have never used Kocowa but are interested in it, it is relatively easy to access and set up. Just follow the six steps below to watch your favorite K-dramas on Roku.

Create An Account and Subscribe

Before you go any further, you need to go to Kocowa online, create an account, and subscribe to their service. If you do not have an account and have not selected a subscription service, then the app won’t work on Roku. To sign up and subscribe, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Kocowa website
  2. Select Log In
  3. Select Sign Up at the bottom next to ‘don’t have an account’
  4. Enter your name, email, and create a password
  5. Pick your gender identity and enter your date of birth
  6. Authenticate your email through the link they send
  7. Select a subscription

After this, you can log out online as you will do the rest of the work through the Roku device.

Download the KOCOWA App On Your Roku

When you have created a login and subscription setting for KOCOWA, it is time to go to your Roku device and download the KOCOWA app from the Roku store.

It is important to ensure that the Roku device is powered on and connected to the WiFi network before you can do so.

Unfortunately, you cannot download content from Kocowa to watch online, but there are some safe ways around it.

Navigate Home

After ensuring you have a strong WiFi connection, it is time to go to the home screen on your Roku device.

You can do so by grabbing a Roku remote and pressing the button with the house symbol located toward the top of the remote.

You can do this on the Roku app under the remote control section if you do not have a remote.

Select Streaming Channels

Once you have reached the home app, you will need to look for the section labeled “Streaming Channels” as soon as you have opened it.

This button will open up your options to bring you to the channel section via the Roku store.

This store houses the KOCOWA app and hundreds of other streaming channel apps you can choose from.

Search For The App

You will now need to use the on-screen keyboard and remote control to navigate to the search bar inside the Streaming Channels storefront.

The search bar is where there’s a magnifying glass.

Some of the newer Roku devices come with smart assistant technology or a remote with a voice button that accepts voice commands.

You can say the name of the app you are searching for or ask Alexa or Google to find the app for you if you do not want to take the time to go in and manually type the name in the search box with the remote.

Add Channel

Once you have successfully searched for the KOCOWA app, it is time to download it. After selecting it, a download button will appear.

Select it with the Roku remote and allow it to install. This process can take anywhere from two to ten minutes, depending on the strength of your WiFi connection.

Once the app has successfully downloaded, you can go into it, log in and start enjoying the many K-dramas available on the platform.

Kocowa Won’t Download on Roku

Sometimes when you download an app on the Roku Store, it will not work as originally intended. When this is the case, do not panic.

There are a few reasons why this may be the case that can be easily fixed. We’ve highlighted some of the best tips for you below.

Connect To WiFi

You must be securely connected to the internet to download anything from the Roku Store. This will provide Roku with the data and information it needs to run the program.

To add a WiFi connection to your Roku device, simply follow these quick steps:

  1. Click the home button
  2. Click Settings
  3. Pick network
  4. Click set up connection
  5. Select Wireless
  6. Select scan to see all networks
  7. Enter your password

Once you have entered your password, the WiFi will automatically connect. You will be good to try to do your download from the store.

Reset Your Router

If you have connected your Roku to the wireless internet at the house and still get an error when trying to download the KOCOWA app, it could be an issue with the router or modem that connects your home to the internet.

When this is the case, it is best to unplug your modem and router and wait a few minutes. Plug it back in and try downloading the new app once more.

Reset Your Roku

If all else fails and you still have issues getting a new app to download, like the KOCOWA app, you may need to reset your Roku Device.

The Roku is set to stay powered on at all times. To reset it, simply pull the plug from its power outlet and wait a few moments.

Plug it back in and then begin searching the app again. It should be refreshed and ready to work.

Fighting!

Once you get the app downloaded, you will be able to pursue hundreds of amazing K-dramas. Whether you prefer a little comedy or a lot of love, the Kocowa app will not disappoint.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
