You can’t see exactly who shared your posts, but you can see how many times your post has been shared if you have a business account. When you have a business account, you can:

  • Tap the post you want to view shares for.
  • Tap “View Insights” at the bottom of the post.
  • Locate the arrow icon to see how many shares your post has.

How to Find Out Who Is Sharing My Instagram Posts

It is important to note that using the ‘View Insights” section is to see how many people have shared your individual post on your feed and not the exact accounts that have viewed and shared your post.

 You cannot see who exactly shared your post. However, after you’ve switched to a business account, you can see the number of shares on your posts by:

  1. Going to your profile and click on your post.
  2. Tapping on ‘View Insights’ from the bottom of the post.
  3. Viewing the send arrow icon will show you the number of times the post was shared.

You must also have a ‘Business/Professional Account’ instead of a personal account for this process to work seamlessly. To start the process of viewing your post shares, open Instagram on your device

Log In to Instagram and Create an Instagram Business Account

In order to view your insights and, therefore, the shares on your chosen post, you must have a business account. This entails you changing your personal account into a business account.

Having a business profile is the only way for Instagram to be able to track the shares on your individual posts.

Changing your profile into a business profile can be done in just a few seconds with your regular personal account.

Tap on ‘Switch to Business/Professional Account’

First, open the Instagram App on your mobile device. Then log in to your personal Instagram account and click on the three horizontal lines on the upper right-hand of the screen. 

Tap on ‘Settings.’ This will take you to a list with a variety of different options. Scroll down the list, tap, and go to the section labeled ‘Account.’

 After tapping on ‘Account,’ scroll down to the very bottom of the screen and see a selection for ‘Switch to business/professional account.’

Clicking on this selection will turn your personal Instagram account into a trackable business/professional Instagram account.

You are now one step closer to finding out who shared your post on their feed.

Go To Your Profile and Click on Your Post

Go to your new business/ professional account, and scroll down to the post on your feed that you want to see the insights for.

Tap on the post of your choice, which will take you to the individual post to view the insights provided. This will be covered in the next steps

Tap on ‘View Insights’ from the Bottom of the Post

On the bottom of your selected post, press ‘View Insights,’ and three options will be available: ‘Accounts Reached,’ ‘Content Interactions,’ and ‘Profile Activity.’

Locate the Paper Airplane Icon

From the ‘View Insights’ section, click on the paper airplane icon underneath your chosen post to see the number of times it has been shared on other people’s Instagram feeds.

You can also see the number of saves, profile visits, and audience reach made by that specific post in your feed.

These metrics can be used in a variety of different ways, from professional to personal use.
