How Many Square Feet Can A Roomba s9+ Clean?
The Roomba s9+ is the newest model robot vacuum that Roomba has produced, and let’s just say, it’s pretty tech-savvy. But even with all the new features, which we are going to discuss shortly, a common question among potential users is just how many square feet can it clean?
The Roomba s9+ can map and clean approximately 2,500 square feet. That’s quite a lot of ground to cover, and the machine will need to recharge to complete the entire area, but luckily the s9+ comes equipped with the recharge and resume capability, so it will automatically return to where it left off after charging.
This model comes with a pretty steep price point, even for a completely independent robot vacuum, but it also comes with a lot of extremely technologically advanced specs as well. If square footage and top-notch cleaning capabilities are what you are looking for, the s9+ might just be the device for you. But before you purchase, let’s make sure you know everything there is to know about this Roomba.
Does the Roomba s9+ Clean Multiple Floors?
Technically, Roomba claims that the s9+ model does clean multiple floors, and by that, they mean it maps and cleans numerous rooms.
Because of the Smart Mapping navigation, this little machine can map every inch of 10 individual rooms, as long as they measure less than 2,500 square feet, either on different levels of your space, or in different homes or offices!
Many users are desperately waiting for a Roomba to be released that will traverse stairs and be able to clean multiple levels in one home, but the technology just isn’t there yet.
However, as we will learn, the Roomba s9+ does essentially everything else, so moving it up or down a flight of stairs is a fairly small price to pay for such an advanced machine.
When you do move it to a new level, if it has already mapped it out, it will simply clean each room and then return to its starting point at the top of bottom of the flight of stairs, patiently waiting to be taken back to its dock to self-empty and recharge.
What Features Does the Roomba s9+ Offer?
A better question might be, what features doesn’t the Roomba s9+ offer? This is truly the most advanced home cleaning robot the market has ever seen, and it better be, with a hefty price tag of at least $1,079 for a brand new device.
So why is this Roomba model so special, and so expensive? Well, the s9+ has a completely new design. Its new and improved shape, with one flat side instead of a complete circle, allows for better corner cleaning, something non of its predecessors can do.
As well, it comes equipped with a self-cleaning dock that Roomba claims won’t have to be emptied for up to 60 days. That means that your vacuum will essentially need no human interaction (with the exception of moving it up and down the stairs) for up to two months, and your house or workspace will still be perfectly clean.
In addition to these assets, it also provides all of the following:
- The “deepest clean” yet. Roomba claims that the s9+ has 40x the power of their original basic models. It can clean pet hair from carpets, stuck-on dirt from hardwood floors, and even cheerios up from kitchen tiles.
- It has complete voice command capabilities, just pair it with your Alexa or Google Home and control the device even when your hands are full, or if you are just too comfy on the couch.
- You can connect it to the iRobot app on your smartphone and turn it on and off from anywhere in the world, well, anywhere that you can use your phone.
- The Roomba s9+ will work on your schedule, and even suggest cleaning times if you have forgotten or if it’s a particularly rough Spring for pollen.
- You can program “Keep Out Zones” for sensitive areas, as well as directly command it to come to a certain spot in the house if there’s a mess that needs immediate attention.
And there’s even more! If you want to read every little thing the Roomba s9+ can do, check out the Roomba page for even more details.
So now you know, the Roomba s9+ can easily cover 2,500 square feet with its mapping technology and advanced cleaning system.
And it does a whole lot more than that too! While the Roomba i7 is said to have the capability to map and clean about the same area (between 2,000 and 2,500 square feet), and it has quite a few of the same specs available, it’s not quite as advanced. But it is a lot more budget-friendly!
Now it’s up to you! Deciding which vacuum is the right investment for your home or workplace is a big decision, and we hope you now feel a little more knowledgeable and can make the right choice for your family or business.
