  • Press the MENU button on your remote. 
  • Select SETTINGS, then SOUND OUTPUT.
  • You will see the BLUETOOTH SPEAKER LIST here. 

If you do not see the Bluetooth Speaker List, your television can most likely not connect via Bluetooth.

NOTE: There is another set of directions that you can try if these do not work on your television, you can skip ahead probable problems to find them!

Another way to find out is based on when your Samsung TV was manufactured. If it was made before 2018, it will not have Bluetooth connection abilities, however, if it was produced after 2018, it should have Bluetooth options. 

The good news is, even if your television does not offer Bluetooth options, you can purchase a Bluetooth adapter to plug in via the AUX port. It’s important to note that the adapter will only work with a speaker or headphones and not with a gaming controller or wireless keyboard. 

Why Won’t the Bluetooth on Samsung Smart TV Turn On?

If you have followed the steps above and know that your Samsung Smart TV has Bluetooth connection capabilities but you cannot seem to get the Bluetooth to turn on, there are a few reasons why it may not be working

  • If your TV was manufactured in 2018, you may need to follow a different set of instructions. 
  • You can see the Bluetooth options, but your devices aren’t appearing. 
  • Bluetooth options are already on.

A Different Set of Instructions
