Bringing home a new Echelon bike is exciting. Working on your health is an admirable task, and this workout bike makes it easy. The Echelon is a home workout bike with smart capabilities to help you track your workouts. How do I connect my Apple watch to my Echelon bike?

Echelon’s ability to connect to an Apple watch makes the bike appealing to consumers. Before you go out and buy one, though, you may want to explore more about how to connect your Apple Watch and other Apple products to your bike and learn about other compatible smartwatches that can connect to Echelon. Read on to learn more.

Prep Before You Connect

Before you connect your Apple watch to your Echelon, you need to put in some prep work to make sure everything is up to date. Here are the steps to take before you begin for a smoother process:

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone
  • Scroll to the gear titled General and select it
  • Select Software Update
  • Your phone will automatically check to see if a watch update is available
  • If there is an update available, install it
  • Next, navigate to the Health App on your iPhone
  • Input all of your relevant information to get accurate data when you workout.
  • Within the app, ensure to set your privacy settings to ‘All requested apps’ so that Echelon has permission to talk to your watch and collect the data.

From here, it will be different if you choose to connect your Apple watch to your Echelon bike with an iPhone or iPad.

Pair Your Watch Using An iPhone

Now that all of the prep work is out of the way, it is time for you to pair your watch with the Echelon. This process is relatively easy if you follow these steps:

  • Download the Echelon Fit app onto your iPhone
  • Log in to your Echelon Fit account; if you don’t have one, create one and then sign in
  • Open the Echelon Fit app on your Apple Watch
  • Pick your workout
  • Your watch will auto-connect and begin to track your stats
  • Your heart rate will appear on your iPhone, and the data will be shared with your Echelon bike

Pair Your Watch Using An iPad

If you do not own an iPhone but own an iPad and an iWatch combo instead, you can still pair your watch to the Echelon. The process is a little different, but if you follow these steps, you’ll be working out in no time:

  • Download the Echelon Fit app onto your iPad
  • Make sure you are logged in to your Echelon Fit account
  • Open the Echelon Fit App
  • Select the ‘More’ page
  • Pick Apple Watch
  • Open the Echelon Fit app on your Apple Watch
  • Pick your workout
  • Your iPad will show your Apple Watch as connected
  • Go back to your iPad and into the Echelon Fit app
  • Pick the class you want to join
  • Click the heart icon on the screen
  • From the list, select your iWatch
  • You should now be connected and ready to workout!

Once you’re set up, don’t forget to pair your Spotify account with your Echelon bike so you can have your music playing while you work out!
