One of the biggest factors to consider when buying a Peloton bike is whether or not you have space for it at home. While they aren’t the largest cardio equipment on the market, they do take up some space. So how big is a peloton bike exactly and how much space do you need to house one?
The dimensions of a Pletoton bike are 2 feet by 4 feet. This means you just need a space a little bit larger than that so that you have room to squeeze on the bike. The amount of extra space you need just depends on you.
If you’re interested in buying a Peloton bike but you’re not sure if you have the space to both transport it home and set it up there, you’ve come to the right place. Below we will answer every question from how much space you need for the bike to whether or not you can fit it in your car. So come along and let’s get your questions answered!
Below we’ve outlined the full dimensions of a Peloton bike so you can know not only how long a wide it is but how tall as well:
Height | 60” |
Length | 48” |
Width | 24” |
It’s important to know the height if you need to transport it in a vehicle. If you scroll down to our section on whether a Peloton bike will fit in a car, we go over this in more detail.
Also, it’s important to note that there is a 21.5” screen that attaches to the front of the bike. You’ll want to keep that in mind when you decide where and how to position it.
One of the advantages of a Peloton bike is that it is only 2 feet by 4 feet. This means most people can probably find a place to squeeze it in.
Still, you should keep in mind that you want a little elbow room for when you use it. Consider how much extra space you would like to have when you use the bike.
You not only have to consider whether or not the bike will fit in your home, but also whether you have enough space in your car to transport it?
Unfortunately, a small car probably won’t be able to transport the bike. Still, you could potentially squeeze one into an SUV or tie it down in a flatbed truck.
Of course, there’s always the option of having one delivered. While it may cost extra money–the amount varies by the service–it will ensure you receive the bike in one piece.
The only part of the Peloton Bike that requires assembly is the touch screen. It comes in a separate box and must be attached by the customer or sometimes by the delivery service.
Of course, you will need to stabilize the bike. You can do this by turning counterclockwise both the front and back stabilizers. These should, in turn, rotate the outer foot.
All that’s left to do is turn them until the bike doesn’t wobble if you gently nudge it. This adjustment shouldn’t take but thirty seconds to a minute to do.
To make things easier for you, we’ve outlined the steps involved in attaching your screen to your Peloton bike below:
If you need to detach the screen later, just follow the directions in reverse and you should be all set.
The Peloton bike is 60” tall, 24” wide, and 48” long. In other words, 2 feet by 4 feet. On top of that it has a 21.5” screen that comes detached and in a box of its own. All of that together is small enough to fit in an SUV but too big to fit into the back of a small car. That’s why most of the time when people get them they have them delivered.
However you get it to your house, you will also need to consider having a little space around it for you to climb on and off. Still, for an exercise bike, these are quite small and should fit somewhere in your house. Best of luck finding a place and setting it up!
