In thinking about a projector screen, we mostly think about those old ones: the big ones that plug into the wall, your computer, or other devices. There are usually a million cords, and either it’s too bulky to carry around or too dependent on wall sockets to go places.

The Nebula Capsule projector has Bluetooth, making it easier to screen your video experiences. While you don’t need to have many wires, it can have wires connected to it to enhance your viewing experience.

This projector has several ways to connect your devices for viewing pleasure: Bluetooth, HDMI, WiFi, and even through an AUX cord. Each of these allows for different media to be connected and used.

How to Connect to the Nebula Capsule via Bluetooth

Connecting your Nebula Capsule through Bluetooth is an easy enough task. There is a button located in the middle of the capsule; it looks like two arrows going up and down. This button lets you switch your Nebula Capsule to Bluetooth or Projector mode.

  1. Press the switch button to switch the mode to Bluetooth
  2. Find your Bluetooth devices in the Settings app on your phone or media device.
  3. Discover new Bluetooth devices and click on the one labeled “Nebula Capsule.”

It’s so simple; it can be done in three steps! There are other things you can connect the Nebula Capsule to besides a smart device.

Connecting the Nebula Capsule to Other Devices via Bluetooth

The Nebula Capsule allows for multiple devices to connect to its Bluetooth. When in Projector Mode, you can connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers. That way, you can have a private viewing experience or replicate that of a movie theater by having surround sound. The remote control for the Nebula also connects to it via Bluetooth.

To connect these devices, go into the Nebula Capsule app, “Nebula Connect.”

  1. Make sure the devices are in pairing mode. To ensure the remote is in pairing mode: press and hold the volume button and the button that looks like an “O.”
  2. Find the Home button and select “Settings.”
  3. Then find “Remote & Accessories.”
  4. Select “Add Accessories,” and it should start looking for items such as headphones, speakers, or even the remote.
  5. Follow the directions on your phone to finish connecting.

If you’re having trouble connecting anything via Bluetooth to your Nebula Capsule, don’t worry. We have troubleshooting tips and other ways to connect to your Nebula Capsule.

Other Ways to Connect to Your Nebula Capsule

While Bluetooth is the preferred connection method to your Nebula Capsule, it is not the only one. There is also the old-school way of HDMI, the slightly more sophisticated way of WiFi, and the trusty AUX for when you just want to listen to your tunes.

Using a Cord

Looking at the way to connect using a cord, there are a total of 3 ways; HDMI, USB, and AUX. Both the USB and HDMI will allow you to project video since you can connect with devices with a video on them.

The AUX is just an audio jack. It will only allow you to use your Nebula Capsule as a speaker or allow you to connect an external speaker to play your projector’s audio.

All three ways are fairly easy to use and just require the right type of cord and the plug-in. The three plug-ins are at the bottom of the capsule.

Without a Cord

Besides Bluetooth, there are a few more ways to connect without a cord: WiFi and Chromecast. You can also AirPlay to your Nebula Capsule as well!

Because of copyright, Chromecast may not be available for all content. So, this one will be the most limited. If you are on a website like YouTube and see the button that looks like a screen with WiFi coming out of it, that is your Chromecast button. They show up on most phones. Click the Chromecast button, and it should allow you to connect directly with your capsule.

As for WiFi, you will first need to ensure that your capsule is set up for WiFi. This involves downloading Nebula Connect through the App Store or Google Play.

  1. Ensure your device is connected to the internet
  2. Go to Settings in your Nebula Connect
  3. Select “Network & Internet”
  4. Follow the directions on the app’s screen to connect to the WiFi.

Having Trouble Connecting to Bluetooth?

If you are trying to connect to your Nebula Capsule via Bluetooth and it doesn’t seem to be working, there are a couple of things you can try.

The first thing is to ensure that your capsule firmware is up to date. You can do this by going into your Nebula Connect app’s settings and clicking on “Update.” Once you update the firmware, try connecting it to another Bluetooth device to ensure it’s not an issue with the first device.

If it’s still not working, try resetting your Nebula Capsule. This can be done by going into the settings > “General” > “About” and then tapping on “Recovery.”

Still can’t get it to work? At that point, it is time to try customer support.

Bluetooth for the Nebula Capsule

You have to admit; screen projectors have come a long way. The availability of Bluetooth in multiple devices allowing for tons of connectivity, is awesome. This allows for more than just headphones to connect to a device but phones, computers, and other media.

So it’s time to go wireless and have that movie viewing under the stars as you’ve always wanted.
