The Echo Show 15 does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it does include Bluetooth capabilities. If you have wireless headphones, you can pair them with your device to listen to music or watch shows privately this way.

Connecting headphones to your smart devices will ensure stable sound and a completely private listening experience. Below, we will discuss how you can still achieve this on your Echo Show 15, even without a headphone jack. Keep reading to learn more about the available options!

Does the Echo Show 15 Have a Headphone Jack?

You are about to sit down and relax by watching your favorite series on Netflix or listening to your favorite music on your Echo Show 15. However, you want to avoid outside noise and ensure you do not disturb your family members while doing so. Connecting headphones to the device seems like the obvious choice here, but you cannot seem to find the jack.

Unfortunately, the Echo Show 15 does not include the classic 3.5mm headphone jack. If you want to listen to audio from your device privately, you will need to explore other options.

Can I Listen to Audio Privately on My Echo Show 15?

Even though the Echo Show 15 does not include a headphone jack, there are still a few ways you can listen to audio from the device privately. You will just need to use one of the following:

  • Bluetooth headphones
  • The headphone jack on Bluetooth devices
  • Another Echo device

Below, we will do a deep dive on privately listening to audio on your Echo Show 15 using any of the three methods listed above.

Bluetooth Headphones

The Echo Show 15 comes with Bluetooth capabilities, which allow it to connect wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones. This is the best alternative to listening privately through headphones. To connect your wireless headphones to the Echo Show 15 using the Bluetooth features, follow the steps below:

  • Start the pairing mode on your Bluetooth headphones.
  • On your Echo Show 15, slide your finger downward from the top of the screen to access the utility bar.
  • Click on Settings, or the gear icon on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Select “Bluetooth.”
  • Find your device and click on it to begin the pairing process.

After a couple of seconds, you will see a “Connected” label underneath your wireless headphones. Once you see this, you’re ready to start listening to audio from your Echo Show 15 through your wireless headphones.

This is the best option for anyone who wants to listen to music or audio from a TV show privately, blocking out outside noise and ensuring you do not disturb anyone else in the house. The connection remains strong if you don’t move too far away from the device.

Headphone Jack on Bluetooth Devices

If you only have wired headphones available, they will need to be connected to some kind of jack before you can listen to music or enjoy your favorite TV shows. This could offer the perfect solution if you have a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar with a headphone jack.

If you have a wireless speaker or soundbar with an AUX output, like a JBL Charge 4, you can connect it to your Echo Show 15 through Bluetooth, then plug your headphones into the speaker to listen privately. If your device is small enough, you can even carry it around the house to hear the audio from anywhere.

Play on Other Echo Devices

If you own other Echo devices, such as the Echo Dot or Echo Show 10, you can use the Alexa App to stream audio playing from your Echo Show 15 to the other device. While this won’t help you achieve a true private listening experience, it can transfer the audio to another room where you won’t disturb other family members.

If both devices are connected to the same WiFi network, you can start playing a song on your Echo Show 15, then ask Alexa to pause it. Go to the room where your other Echo device is located, then say, “Alexa, move music to (other device name).”

A few Echo devices also have an AUX port, which allows you to plug headphones into them. These include:

  • Echo Plus
  • Echo Studio
  • Echo 3rd Generation

If you own any of these devices, you can send the audio to one of them and connect your headphones using a jack.

Wrapping Up

The Echo Show 15 does not include a headphone jack, meaning there’s no way to connect wired headphones to the device. However, you can use the device’s Bluetooth capabilities to connect wireless headphones or a wireless speaker and listen to audio privately that way.
