Smart home with lights

Ensuring your home’s security with a high-definition camera is always a good idea. You have been considering buying a Eufy Floodlight camera to illuminate your backyard and get a better view of whoever is wandering around your property. But, you are also thinking about making the camera less visible by getting it in a dark color or customizing it to match your style.

Eufy Floodlight cameras do not allow you to choose between different colors. However, depending on the model you choose, the security camera may be available in black. At this time, the only model that comes in black is the Eufy Floodlight (2K). All other versions come in white.

Matching your security camera’s color to the color of your house is something you might want to do for aesthetic reasons. You might also want to choose a color that is a bit more discrete and will make the camera more difficult to spot. Keep reading to learn more about the colors available for Eufy Floodlights!

Does Eufy Floodlight Camera Come in Black or Any Other Colors?

You might be wondering if you can choose the color of your Eufy Floodlight security camera, but this option is not customizable for these devices. The only two colors you will find are black and white, but again, this choice is not completely up to you.

Depending on the Floodlight model you choose, you will get one color or the other. Models that come equipped with a floodlight include:

  • Eufy Floodlight Cam (1080p)
  • Eufy Floodlight Cam (2K)
  • Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 (2K)
  • Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro (2K)

All of these security cameras have similar capabilities, although each has some upgrades with respect to its predecessor. Let’s explore the differences between these cameras and the colors they come in.

Eufy Floodlight Cam

The original Eufy Floodlight Cam comes in two different versions. These include a 1080p model and a 2K model. The main difference between these two, as their name suggests, is the video quality.

The 1080p Eufy Floodlight Cam records videos with 1920×1080 pixels per frame. In contrast, the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2K version records 2304×1296 pixels per frame. Neither can connect to the Eufy Homebase. Instead, they connect to your smartphone or other smart device through Wi-Fi.

The recording quality is not the only difference between the two models. Most Eufy Floodlights, including the 1080p original Eufy Floodlight, come painted in white for a more modern or futuristic look. However, the Eufy Floodlight (2K) only comes in black.

Eufy Floodlight Cam 2

The Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 is the more upgraded version of the Eufy Floodlight. However, this model does not have two different versions like its predecessor. It comes with 2K video recording by default and features slightly upgraded hardware that makes it run a bit smoother.

While you might have expected that this upgraded version would only support 5GHz Wi-Fi, this security camera uses 2.4GHz just like the previous version. This version also does not require the Eufy Homebase to operate. However, it’s only available in white — not black or any other color.

Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro

The Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro is the most advanced Floodlight security camera that Eufy Security offers. While the other models discussed here are fixed cameras with a field of view of 130 degrees, this model can rotate the camera a full 360 degrees for full coverage of your property.

It also comes with target tracking, powered by AI technology, so intruders and other people on your property are always within the field of view. Other improvements include more internal memory and the capabilities to produce 3000 lumens of brightness. This contrasts with previous models, which can only produce up to 2000 lumens.

Just like the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 and Eufy Floodlight Cam (1080p), the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and does not require the Eufy Homebase to operate. However, it is only available in white.

Wrapping Up

Customizing the color of your security camera could make it more appealing or more discrete. Unfortunately, the Eufy Floodlight camera series does not allow you to choose your camera’s color. You will not find any color choices other than black and white.

The Eufy Floodlight Cam (1080p), Cam 2, and Cam 2 Pro are only available in white. The only Floodlight security camera that comes in black is the Eufy Floodlight Cam (2K).

If you feel that you do not need the extra illumination, capacity, and superior AI capabilities of the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro, or if you don’t want to pay extra for the slightly upgraded hardware on the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2, the Eufy Floodlight Cam (2K) is a great choice. If black is a must for you, this device is a perfect fit.
