Almost everyone has a cell phone. Cell phones are used as web browsers, calculators, translators, and cameras. People snap pictures and take videos of their travels every day. Sharing them on a social media platform is easy, but sharing them on their Element TV with their family may seem impossible. Many people ask, can you screen mirror on an Element TV

You can screen mirror on an Element TV, but only if you have an Android phone. You will need a USB cord, WiFi internet connection, and the ability to download the Element TV App from the Google Play store.

Now that you know it is possible to screen mirror on an Element TV, it is likely that you will want more information on how to set screen mirroring up. Read on to learn the ins and outs of screen mirroring on an Element TV with your phone.

USB Connectivity

The most common way to screen mirror on an Element TV is to use a USB cord.

A USB cord has become a modern staple in almost every household. They are commonly used on updated technological devices to connect to different hardware, platforms, and software. You can use a USB cord to screen the mirror on an Element TV.

  • First, grab a cord that fits into the charging port in your phone and has a USB end.
  • Take the cord and insert the right end into the phone and the other end into the Element TV.
  • Open your settings on your Android smartphone and go to USB settings. Ensure file transfer is selected before continuing.
  • Now toggle to the video, photo, or music selection you want to mirror. It should appear on your Element TV.

Please note that not every Android phone will read properly with an Element TV. To find out if your Android phone is compatible, it is essential to verify the Element Electronics website.

WIFI Connectivity

Most modern homes are equipped with an internet connection. This internet connection typically includes wireless internet connectivity, commonly known as WiFi. Through WiFi, you can screen mirror on an Element TV.

Some more recent versions of the Element TV allow an Android phone to screen mirror through WiFi. To do so, you must first ensure the TV and the phone are both connected to the same network.

Connecting to WiFi on Your TV

To ensure your Element TV is connected to WiFi, you must select the menu button on your remote. Next, select ‘TV Settings’ and then ‘Network.’ Find the proper internet connection and select ‘Connect.’ Your TV should now be paired with your WiFi and have all its ‘smart’ capabilities, including the ability to screen mirror.

Connecting your Android Phone to WiFi

Each Android phone brand has slightly different menu options when trying to connect it to WiFi. In general, go to the settings gear on your phone. Open up ‘WiFi’ or ‘Wireless Networks.’ Next, select your internet connection and enter the password if necessary. Your phone should be ready to pair with your Element TV.

The Element TV App

Smart Element TVs now come with a new app that you can download. This app will allow you to screen mirror with your Element TV. To get the app and use it successfully, follow these tips:

  • Go to the Google Play store and download the Element TV App
  • Open the app, create an account and register your Element TV
  • Sync your TV with the Element TV App
  • Once your TV is synced with the app, you will be able to toggle screen mirroring on and off.

Not All Screens can Mirror

Unfortunately, not all phones are made the same. If you own an iPhone, you will not be able to screen mirror with an Element TV. Currently, the company does not have the compatibility to do so. In the future, as more technological advances are made, this option may become a part of the Element TV package.

Alternative Methods

Still need to share your video, audio, and photography with an audience at home? You can always use a laptop and plug HDMI to HDMI inputs from one to the other, and the computer will then read the TV as if it is an additional monitor. This will allow you to show everyone your screen.

Another common alternative is using a Roku to screen mirror with a phone, whether an iPhone or an Android. To do so, you must first download the Roku Mirror app. This is common for most smart TVs. Once it is installed on your phone, download it on the Roku device on the TV. Open the app on the TV and the Phone and click connect. You are now screen mirroring!

Share Away

Thanks to advancements in modern technology, we can now enjoy the convenience of screen mirroring and sharing. With some light set up, you can now enjoy your videos, audio, photos, and movies with friends and family at the click of a button.
