If you are looking to enhance your home network system, you have probably been overwhelmed by all the operating systems available! With almost every brand on the market offering an extremely similar product, it may prove challenging to find the right product for your home.

You will need an ISP (Internet Service Provider) device to connect a Meshforce Mesh Wifi system. This can be a router, modem, or internet cable. While an existing router will work, you will have to disable the router’s internal Wifi for the Meshforce to function.

If your home wireless network is already equipped with a router, you have several options on how to proceed and easily connect a Meshforce Mesh system. We will go through the step-by-step instructions for these options, as well as what the Meshforce has to offer once it is set up!

Should I Keep My Existing Router if I Buy the Meshforce Mesh Wifi?

Here’s what you need to know: as we have learned, you can connect the Meshforce router to your router, it can be a little easier to connect it to a modem or directly to the ethernet cable, as in that case, you will not have to disable your home network.

Another positive in not using your own router is that you can typically return it to your ISP and therefore save money on the monthly rental fee required to own a home router.

It’s really up to you how you want to connect the Meshforce as there are several options. And the best news is, once you have decided on your course of action, it is incredibly easy to get the system up and running!

How To Set Up the Meshforce Mesh Wifi

Once you have connected the Meshforce router to your home internet via an existing router, modem, or ethernet cable, and have plugged it into the power outlet, you are ready to get the system up and running.

To do so, just follow these simple steps:

  • Download the Meshforce app and create a profile.
  • Connect your device to the Meshforce default Wifi name which can be found on the router.
  • Open the app and follow the setup steps.
  • Plug the additional satellite routers, known as Dots, into outlets throughout your home.
  • Open the app and select Add A Mesh.
  • Scan the QR code on the Dot label. (Note: you can add up to six Dots on one Mesh system.)

How Do I Connect the Meshforce to My Router?

When connecting the Meshforce supplied router to your existing router, you will need to use the ethernet cable provided with the system and plug it directly into your router.

That’s the easy part, the difficulty comes for most users as they attempt to disable their ISP-provided wireless network so as to not confuse the Meshforce.

While some consumers have had luck simply plugging in a smart device and pulling open the router settings to disable it themselves, others have had to call their ISP to disable it over the phone.

Now, your system is in place and you should be able to receive all the added benefits of an improved home network! If you would like more helpful tips on how and where to place your Dots, you can find them on the Meshforce website.

What Does the Meshforce Mesh Wifi Offer?

There are several different Meshforce models, and while they all offer the same operating system, their features vary slightly so it’s important to find out which one will work best for your home.

Every model offers amazing coverage of up to 4,500 square feet, as well as user-friendly setup, app management, parental controls, and guest Wifi. However, here are the small, but possibly important differences.
